Embley Park School, established in 1947, provides an independent education to 430 girls and boys between the ages of 3 and 18. known. In 1995 the school expanded its lower school facilities by taking over a local junior school. The agreement included a 5-year non-renewable lease of the junior school’s existing premises, which gave Embley Park five years in which to design and construct additional lower school buildings on its own site. The land available was dominated by a canoeing lake, so it was extremely challenging to construct the proposed facilities for classrooms, a hall and administrative areas. Embley Park’s Architects recommended WF Brown And Associates, civil and structural engineers to solve the challenge. Through a series of consultative meetings, the WF Brown team developed imaginative and practical solutions.
